Great surprise from Cassens and Plath

Hi Team,

I had nice surprise through the post the other week from our good friends Cassens & Plath GmbH makers of fine traditional navigation instruments.

They clearly think I need to be practicing my celestial nav and wanted to make sure I had no excuses

Take a look at the photos of the addition to my sextant and prizes to first person to tell me what the present was?

Meanwhile, we finally got a chance to fit the new Cassens and Plath binnacle compass, we’ve been holding off fitting the compass while so much work was going on, but it felt like the right time now.

If you remember we sent Puffin’s original very special “double circumnavigating” Suunto compass back to Istvan Kopar to be reunited with his boat Salammbo.

So now in its place with this very nice C&P Delta 2 model, looking amazing I’m sure you’ll agree?
